Platforma savremenog plesa Moving Balkans ovjavila je selekciju od 10 produkcija savremenog plesa koje \u0107e biti predstavljene na drugom izdanju Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase-a, koje \u0107e se odr\u017eati od 13. do 16. maja 2026. u Novom Sadu (Srbija).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pored ovih produkcija, program \u0107e obuhvatiti i \u0161est prezentacija projekata Dance Scape, pru\u017eaju\u0107i umetnicima priliku da predstave svoje radove me\u0111unarodnoj mre\u017ei kustosa, producenata i predstavnika festivala. Dance Scape ima za cilj da podstakne dijalog, razvije saradnje i otvori nove mogu\u0107nosti za turneje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Na konkurs za ovo izdanje Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase je stiglo 214 prijava, a kona\u010dnih 10 produkcija odabrao je Umetni\u010dki odbor platforme Moving Balkans, zajedno sa dvoje eksternih me\u0111unarodnih plesnih eksperata (Ingrida Gerbutavi\u010di\u016bt\u0117, direktorka tanzhaus nrw Diseldorf, i Samme Raeymaekers, biv\u0161i direktor Dansens Hus Oslo), tokom kustoskog sastanka odr\u017eanog u Sofiji  (Bugarska). Izabrani radovi obuhvataju \u0161irok spektar perspektiva i koreografskih jezika koji \u010dine pejza\u017e savremene plesne scene Balkana tako \u017eivopisnim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Showcase 2026 pru\u017ei\u0107e jedinstvenu priliku umetnicima da svoj rad predstave \u0161irokoj publici me\u0111unarodnih plesnih profesionalaca, kulturnih organizacija i op\u0161toj javnosti. Pored izvo\u0111enja i prezentacija, program \u0107e obuhvatiti i doga\u0111aje za umre\u017eavanje, stvaraju\u0107i prostor za umetnike i publiku da razmenjuju ideje, povezuju se i postanu deo rastu\u0107e umetni\u010dke mre\u017ee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pokrenuta 2024. godine i sufinansirana od strane Evropske unije, platforma savremenog plesa Moving Balkans osnovana je sa ciljem da unapredi vidljivost i konkurentnost balkanskog savremenog plesa na globalnoj sceni. Kroz showcase, Dance Scape prezentacije i druge inicijative, Moving Balkans posve\u0107en je podr\u0161ci umetni\u010dkim talentima i ja\u010danju regionalnog plesnog ekosistema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nakon uspe\u0161nog prvog izdanja Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase-a, odr\u017eanog u Ljubljani (Slovenija), Rijeci i Zagrebu (Hrvatska) od 10. do 13. maja 2025. godine, drugo izdanje \u0107e biti odr\u017eano u Novom Sadu (Srbija) od 13. do 16. maja 2026. godine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Platform Announces Selection of Artists for the Second Edition in Novi Sad<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Platform is delighted to announce the selection of 10 contemporary dance productions that will be presented at the second edition of the Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase, taking place from 13\u201316 May 2026 in Novi Sad (Serbia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to these productions, the program will also feature six Dance Scape project pitches, offering a chance for artists to present their works to an international network of curators, producers, and festival representatives. Dance Scape aims to spark dialogue, foster collaborations, and open new touring opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chosen from a highly competitive pool of 214 applications, the final 10 productions were selected by the Artistic Board of the Moving Balkans platform, together with two external international dance experts (Ingrida Gerbutavi\u010di\u016bt\u0117, director of tanzhaus nrw D\u00fcsseldorf, and Samme Raeymaekers, former director of Dansens Hus Oslo), during a curatorial meeting held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The chosen works embody the wide range of perspectives and choreographic languages that make the Balkan contemporary dance landscape so vibrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Showcase will provide a unique opportunity for artists to present their work to a wide audience of international dance professionals, cultural organizations, and the general public. Beyond the performances and pitches, the program will include networking events, creating space for artists and audiences alike to exchange ideas, connect, and become part of a growing artistic network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2024 and co-funded by the European Union, the Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Platform was created to enhance the visibility and competitiveness of Balkan contemporary dance on the global stage. Through the showcase, Dance Scape pitches, and other initiatives, Moving Balkans is committed to supporting artistic talent and strengthening the regional dance ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the successful first edition of the Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase, held in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Rijeka (Croatia), and Zagreb (Croatia) between 10\u201313 May 2025, the second edition will take place in Novi Sad (Serbia) from 13\u201316 May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
